Sifu Eagle Li founded The Soaring Eagles Lion Dance Team in 2023 to bring his decades of Chinese lion dance expertise to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As the official Canadian branch of the Kong Fai Lion Dance Association, we are proud to represent one of the top names in lion dance Toronto has to offer. In 2025, our team earned 1st and 3rd place in the Open Category (17+) at the Canadian National Lion Dance Championship, a testament to our performers’ skill, dedication, and artistry on a national stage. Our team features highly skilled performers from both Asia and Canada, united by a passion for preserving and sharing traditional Southern-style lion dance, including thrilling high pole (jong) performances. Based in Toronto, the Soaring Eagles deliver dynamic, professional performances for Chinese New Year, weddings, corporate events, cultural festivals, and grand openings.
